We will be photographing the ‘Milky Way Galactic Core’ which will be in horizontal orientation and setting in the western sky.

The Lake is often very calm allowing for some great reflections of the stars in the water.

This organised excursion is open to all current NTCC members.

The ‘learning workshop’ will run for one hour, from 19:30 to 20:30. The photoshoot will then run from 20:30 to 22:30.

It is recommended that members car-pool to reduce the risks, and the traffic on the roads. The road into the lake is dirt and there is always a lot of wildlife around at night.

Information on car-pooling meeting areas around Launceston, what to bring with you and what to practice during the lead-up, will all be emailed to members.

If the weather is unsatisfactory on the night, this event will be rescheduled for Saturday 17th October 2020.
