Our June camera club meeting will be another of our dedicated ‘Learning’ meetings.

Specific activities will be announced on the night, but may include:

  • Camera menu and settings instruction.

  • Photography fundamentals.

  • Exposure principles and the exposure triangle.

  • Peripheral equipment.

  • Image composition and creativity.

  • Post processing for beginners, intermediate and advanced.

  • Image handling and back-up.

  • Off camera lighting techniques.

  • Night photography.

  • Image critique sessions.

  • Seeking further education.

Entries for our End of Season Photo Competitions are due this month.

The Frederick Smithies Memorial Trophy.
Awarded for the Colour Photograph of the Year.
Members may enter their THREE best colour images.
These can be new images, or images that were entered during the past year of seasonal competitions.
The judge for this competition will be photojournalist Scott Gelston.

The Geoffrey Pattison Memorial Trophy.
Awarded for the Monochrome Photograph of the Year.
Members may enter their THREE best monochrome images.
These can be new images, or images that were entered during the past year of seasonal competitions.
The judge for this competition will be Examiner photographer, Paul Scambler.

The John Shepherd Memorial Trophy for Landscape Images.
Members may enter up to TWO images depicting a 'Landscape' theme. (Colour or Monochrome).
These can be new images, or images that were entered during the past year of seasonal competitions.
The judge for this competition will be award winning landscape photographer Felix Staub.
